Anteriormente vimos como instalar zsh junto al framework OhMyZsh. Ahora veremos como configurarlo y personalizarlo usando las plantillas que trae.

En la carpeta ~/.oh-my-zsh/themes  y ~/.oh-my-zsh/plugins veremos los temas y plugins disponibles para personalizar la shell y activar nuevas funcionalidades.

Temas

Existe un gran variedad de temas para personalizar la interfaz de zsh, para buscar un tema especifico lo encontraremos en el directorio  ~/.oh-my-zsh/themes.  Podemos dirigirnos al sitio web zshtems y ver los distintos temas disponibles.
nano ~/.zshrc

# Path to your oh-my-zsh configuration.
ZSH=$HOME/.oh-my-zsh

# Set name of the theme to load.
# Look in ~/.oh-my-zsh/themes/
# Optionally, if you set this to "random", it'll load a random theme each
# time that oh-my-zsh is loaded.
ZSH_THEME="rkj-repos"

Plugins

Para activar los plugins solo tenemos que editar el archivo .zshrc que se encuentra oculta en nuestro usuario, en el archivo buscamos la linea “plugins” y añadimos los plugins que vamos a usar, si queremos ver las distintas extensiones tenemos que dirigirnos al directorio ~/.oh-my-zsh/plugins:

nano ~/.zshrc

# Which plugins would you like to load? (plugins can be found in ~/.oh-my-zsh/plugins/*)
# Custom plugins may be added to ~/.oh-my-zsh/custom/plugins/
# Example format: plugins=(rails git textmate ruby lighthouse)
plugins=(git brew)

Esta es la configuracion de mi .zshrc
